EXERCISES FOR THE MIND
If you are stressed, overwhelmed, worried, nervous or anxious you can't do things, your mind just plays with you and with your emotions, you can't concentrate and you start to be worried and paralized to do the things you want it to do......
But before I want that you be aware of the following things: Who controls you? other people? the situation? the problem? or You?
If you are stressed, overwhelmed, worried, nervous or anxious you can't do things, your mind just plays with you and with your emotions, you can't concentrate and you start to be worried and paralized to do the things you want it to do, so I will give you the following exercises, to help you overcome these types of situations.
But before I want that you be aware of the following things: Who controls you? other people? the situation? the problem? or You?
Let's go to analyse this: Nothing and no one can have the control over you. No one can make you angry or lose your peace unless you want it or allow it.
You can't control everything or anyone, you just can control YOURSELF. You can't control what is happening or avoid problems or things around you. But YOU CAN Control your MIND and How YOU can react. Yes! you can't control things, but you can control your emotions and your reactions towards them or a situation.
I am not saying that you don't feel, the opposite, it is ok to feel sad, it is ok to feel angry, frustrated, any feels are ok, but how long and how much That is what You decide that!!!
Be responsible anytime, any situation, if you are not responsible how you can fix the problem if is not yours. You can play above the line and be SMART or play below the line and play the victim role and just justify, make excuses, avoid things, lay blame, denial or quit or you can just focus on what you CAN do and control.
For example: Imagine in the morning, you wake up earlier, because you need to visit an important client, but you start to do things in the house and you get distracted, then you realize now is really time to leave the house and now you are in a hurry to go to this appointment.
You go out and you see that the tire of your car is completely flat. What do you do now? Or what will the majority of us do? Our blood starts to warm up and we start to get angry, we kick the tire a couple of times, we curse on it, our emotions go up, our intelligence goes down, and we can't think straight. The one thing we think about it, is that we have to be in time for this appointment, we think about how bad we will look and we get more and more frustrated.
Or we call someone to help us or we do it ourselves and get dirty, on top of that we are wearing white clothes and suddenly we realized that we don't have the right tools to change the tire, so now the smoke comes out of our ears!!! We throw the car keys to the ground, we scream out loud ....... and all the sudden you realize the only thing you are doing, is wasting energy and time. Instead of trying to change that tire, whether you do it or you call someone; why get angry and lose all this energy and time! if you still HAVE to change the tire ...
The best thing to do, would be to calm down, maybe take a taxi, the bus and go to your appointment and then talk to the mechanic, your insurance, a friend or after the day or the appointment you go home, change your clothes and then fix the tire, with time, no hurries or angriness, without loss of energy and without RUINING YOUR DAY!!!
I bet you laughing now.. something like this happened to you before? OH yes I bet many times, in many different situations
Well I will give you some exercises that will help you to control your mindset and keep you from losing energy and time.
EXERCISES
Emotions exercise.
We need to empty our mind, if we are stressed, overwhelmed, feeling anxious or if we need to focus, it is good to clean the space first, so we can work or create new things. So let's do the following:
Please have a piece of paper, a red pen and a blue pen (or use two different colours) and clock to time yourself.
Your will write down for 5 minutes all the emotions you have been feeling in the last 2 weeks or these few days, what type of thoughts you have, good things, bad things, anything that comes to your mind, it could be a word, a phrase, an idea, a situation, a to do list, some feelings, anything
So start your clock and start to write if you stop and still you have time keep writing, or close your eyes and feel.. keep going and do not stop until the time is over
Ready and Go. 5 minutes. And Stop, well done!!!

Which emotions dominated you? Positive or Negative? Let's find out
Now take the red pen (or one color) an cross out all the negative thing on your list. Then with the other colour pen circle the positive ones. If you just have one pen or color, then just cross all the bad things or negative ones. Now look your paper what color dominate? Or do you have more or less crosses?
Now you are aware of if you have been thinking more positive or the opposite, so change your thoughts to positive ones and for this, you can use affirmations. Also with this exercise you
